Police have named a passenger who died in hospital after a two-vehicle collision near Nightcaps in Southland.
He was Dontay Mataatua Wepa-Haora (19), of Nightcaps.
Police said today they were continuing to investigate the crash in Nightcaps-Opio Rd, which occurred about 3pm on February 21.
Mr Wepa-Haora was taken to Dunedin Hospital where he died.
The driver of the vehicle he was in remains in a critical condition in Christchurch Hospital, a police spokeswoman said.
