In a statement yesterday, the family said Mr Tulloch's condition was "slowly improving''.
"He still requires extensive care and surgery for a serious foot injury, which is scheduled . . . over the next week.''
In the statement, the family acknowledged "‘everyone for their ongoing love, support and prayers''.
Mr Tulloch (65) was injured in a high-speed crash at Teretonga Park, Invercargill, on March 20.
