Fine foods and smiling faces were aplenty in Winton during the inaugural Food Truck Festival on Saturday.

Hosted by Winton’s Middle Pub, the event drew hundreds of people and featured a range of gastronomic delights from countries including Thailand, India, Argentina and the Philippines.

The event also featured live music, face painting and a bouncy castle for the young ones — while the pub was open for the adults.

Middle Pub manager Prince Demru said that he was impressed by the good turnout.

"This is just to bring people in to be a part of the community ... Winter’s usually quite slow, people go down in hibernation, so this is just to bring people out again."

The organisers had been getting plenty of feedback from the community, and there was potential to bring back the event in summer, he said.

"I’m just loving seeing the whole community out and being a part of this event."

It was great to see foods from so many cultures available, he said.

"There’s bits and flavours from all around."
