Burglary charges laid after ram-raid

A man appeared in the Invercargill District Court yesterday in relation to a recent ram-raid at Found My Way gift shop in the Windsor shopping area.

The 18-year-old man, who was granted interim name suppression, appeared before the court registrar on charges of burglaries of Found My Way, and 45 Dee St, which is the address of the clothing store True Grit shoe shop, both on August 15.

He also faces charges of stealing a sweatshirt on August 8 and dishonestly getting in to a vehicle on August 15.

The man was remanded on bail to appear in the Invercargill District Court on September 13. His bail conditions included a 24-hour curfew.
