Dangerous medicine stolen

Milton police are concerned about the whereabouts of a lethal dose of medicine stolen from a car near Milton yesterday.

Senior Constable Steve Griffiths, of Milton, said a grey Toyota Caldina broke down on State Highway 8 between Clarksville and the Manuka Gorge about 7.30am.

The owner left the vehicle to get help and, when he returned about 12.30pm, he found someone had entered it and stolen his tool box.

Locked inside the tool box was his medication.

Snr Const Griffiths said the medication was dangerous in the wrong hands, and was in a large enough quantity to be considered lethal.

He warned the person who had taken the tool box not to "play" with the medication.

"Taking it could kill someone."

The tool box is red, with three fold-out trays, and covered with Fusion Stereo stickers.

Snr Const Griffiths said the person responsible could leave the tool box and its contents at Milton police station, no questions asked, or call to let staff know its whereabouts.
