"For the last four years I have watched Sue tirelessly give her time and effort to the Milton Opportunities Charitable Trust shop," nominator Cheryl Fraser said.
"It has been a hard slog to keep things ticking along in this economic environment, but Sue, with her determination and with the help of the Board of Trustees have made it into a bright and breezy Op Shop with profits returning to the community."
Mrs Maunder accepted the recognition and her fresh southern lamb leg with surprise.
"It’s just about affordable, quality goods for local people and donating 100% of the profits locally, like Tokoiti School and the RSA," she said.
