South Otago crews from Kaitangata and Balclutha were called out to a shed fire in Kaitangata this morning.
Kaitangata deputy chief fire officer Dwayne Thompson said they arrived at the Christchurch St property at 10.30am to find a "totally involved" blaze.
The crews brought the fire under control quickly, avoiding damage to neighbouring property
"Thanks to a quick response, the incident was dealt with safely, and no members of the public were endangered."
Mr Thompson said it was too early to ascertain the cause of the fire.
