Three people believed to be missing while tramping at Mt Crichton, near Queenstown, have been found.
A police spokeswoman said while it was initially believed two trampers were missing, three trampers had been located.
They set off on the track, about 12km from the resort town, yesterday and were due to camp at Lake Isobel overnight.
The Mt Crichton track starts on the Glenorchy-Queenstown Road.
Fire crews continue to battle a big scrub fire on the Glenorchy Rd that began about midnight.
Police said all three trampers were safe and were walking out this morning.
