A starry night of dazzling live entertainment, Reach Out for the Memorial Hall on March 3 will boast three acts of entertainment with a live band on stage. Favourite songs from the Rat Pack era and Motown as well as a musical comedy double act will benefit the upgrade of the hall.

Queenstown entertainer Simon Green is bound for Dunedin on Sunday for rehearsals all next week with fellow singers Chris Powley, of Auckland, Russell Harrison, of Rotorua, and Douglas Kamo, of Dunedin. They will practise with a Dunedin band led by Stuart Walker, musical director of The Rocky Horror Picture Show, Les Miserables and The Big Night In last year.

Green said yesterday all 25 cabaret tables of 10 patrons were already booked, "which gives a reassuring level of support for the show and demonstrates people are positive about what we're trying to achieve".

Eighty mezzanine theatre style seats were ticketed at $59, with the remainder available on the door.
