The 25-year-old hotel at Arthurs Point is on 8043sq m of land above the Shotover River, with Coronet Peak as a backdrop.
It has 40 suites and its facilities including a new health spa opened in 2010, plus gymnasium, tennis courts, squash court, a wine tasting cellar, library and home theatre.
Jones Lang LaSalle real estate agent John Binning, of Auckland, said the property was fully unit-titled for future sale.
A total of 40 titles are individual accommodation units and accessory units with the remaining unit titles holding interest in the common facilities, Mr Binning said.
A further 11,840sq m of special tourism zoned land forms part of the total estate of the hotel, which has been earmarked for development opportunities to enlarge the hotel or to be developed separately.
An asking price for the hotel was not disclosed as expressions of interest are being sought until the closing date of November 5, if the hotel is not sold beforehand.
