Don't stress meowt about the whereabouts of New World Wakatipu’s adopted cat, Izzy.

The loveable feline, adopted by the supermarket in 2016, is a permanent fixture at the Remarkables Park supermarket’s entrance, where she spends most of her days snoozing, snacking, and enjoying pats from passing shoppers.

At present, New World’s undergoing extensive renovations, so Izzy’s having a staycation with QT Community Cats to keep her safe and stress-free.

Cat rescue charity owner and operator Andrea Balona — who says she’s Izzy’s godmother, having been heavily involved with the supermarket’s adoption — is keeping a close eye on the moggy, who is estimated to be about 13 years old.

She’s making herself at home in a special enclosure, away from the other cats, where she’s got her own bed and play area.

Balona says Izzy’s also benefiting from regular visits from her fans and friends, estimating she has about 50 visitors a day.

It’s the cat’s second stay with QT Community Cats, which took her in while she recovered from a dog attack about three years ago.
