Queenstown Primary School's new principal, Lyn Bird, with some of her younger charges at the school yesterday.
A principal for 16 years, Dr Bird has taught in schools all over the South Island, including Goldfields in Cromwell and Alexandra Primary School. She also lectured at the University of Otago. She joined Queenstown Primary from Ilam School in Christchurch.
