Cardrona will again be hosting the Burton New Zealand Open this year, with New Zealand the first stop on the global snowboarding circuit.
Featuring the first major slope-style and halfpipe events of the 2012 Ticket To Ride World Tour season, the open will officially begin the new TTR slopestyle and halfpipe world tour ranking lists.
"We are stoked to again host the event at Cardrona," event manager Reuben Yeoman said.
The open will be held from Monday, August 8 to Saturday, August 13, with daily giveaways at the sponsor village, and the after-party in Queenstown, featuring Shihad, Kora, Tiki Taane, Optimus Gryme and Sunshine Soundsystem.
Rider announcements have been postponed until next week.
