School principal Debbie Dickson described the autographed book as "a harrowing account of a three-month-long expedition with Hillary and two companions skiing 900 miles [1450km] across the icy wastes of the Antarctic to the South Pole, which is sure to be a hot ticket collector's item" at Glittering Peaks - the new school's first social and fundraising evening on November 12.
Hillary is a mountaineer and expedition leader who has led a life of adventure since his father Sir Edmund Hillary first took him climbing at the age of 7.
Peter first climbed Mt Everest in 1990, and in 2008 completed the seven summits challenge, climbing the highest mountain on each of the seven continents.
Ms Dickson said Hillary's appearance promised an "inspirational evening of brilliant anecdotes and world-beating achievements".
Money raised from the evening will go towards sunshades for the school surrounds and playground, and resources and books for the learning centre.
