The Queenstown girl who lost consciousness when she fell and hit her head on grass at Remarkables Primary School on Thursday was "fine and back in class the next day", the principal says.
Principal Debbie Dickson said in a statement on Friday all pupils did the right thing.
"They sought help and our safety action plan was immediately implemented, where we called the emergency services.
She was required to go to the Lakes District Hospital for observation and was sent home in the early evening.
"The student concerned is well and fine and is back at school ...
"I have talked to the students in their classes today, so they know that she is OK.
"I would like to thank all the students and staff for their quick reactions, support and care of each other."
