Foundation complete

Remarkables Primary School's 54 newly enrolled pupils gather together after Wednesday's new entrants' assembly, which the school's first year 7 and year 8 pupils attended.

Pictured (from back) are the 18 new year 7 and 8 pupils, who have joined returning pupils from last year's year 6 classes, eight year 5 and 6 pupils, 13 from years 2 and 3 and 15 from year 1. Principal Debbie Dickson said the new "foundation" pupils meant the school was catering for the complete age range of primary children for the first time. "It's fantastic and a really special time for the school," Mrs Dickson said. "There seems to be a really positive hum throughout the school and everybody's looking forward to a great year."
