The works from two Garden City shows will be previewed to the public in the venue above Kapa Design Gallery on Friday, April 5, at 5.30pm and be on view for three weeks.
Toi o Tahuna will not take a commission on sales and is hosting the sculptures, paintings, photography and mixed-media works free of charge as a gesture of support for the project.
The Shared Lines: Sendai-Christchurch Art Exchange was a growing network of 60 contemporary artists from both earthquake-affected cities.
Christchurch artists exhibited in Sendai in 2012 and Christchurch hosted a group of artists from Sendai in March this year.
This year's exchange consists of two exhibitions in the Canterbury Museum and Ilam Campus galleries, artist presentations and many opportunities for curators and artists to share experiences, artwork and ideas for the future.
