Forty-six groups have this year been nominated for the TrustPower Oamaru Community Awards, three fewer than last year.
The awards, which recognise and reward volunteers for outstanding contributions to the local community, are run in conjunction with the Waitaki District Council.
The supreme winner will get $1500, a trophy, framed certificate, a six-month subscription to Fundraising in New Zealand magazine and a trip to the TrustPower national awards in Tauranga in March next year.
The Oamaru awards will be announced and presented on June 14.
