The North Otago sports awards are such a success, a debriefing earlier this week is only looking at fine tuning the annual event.
Organised by the North Otago Sports Bodies' Association and Sport Waitaki, the awards dinner on March 13 attended by about 120 people saw the North Otago cricket team take the overall sporting accolade after winning the Hawke Cup last year.
Sport Waitaki co-ordinator Louise Bee said those present at a debriefing on Tuesday night discussed "a list of small things" which could improve the event.
These included the possibility of a larger venue, lighting of sponsors' signs and improvements to serving the meal.
"Overall, it was felt the event was a success which will break even or be slightly under budget," she said.
Next year's sports awards will be presented on March 14.
