The former Dunback tennis pavilion may get a new lease of life as a communal building for visitors in caravans and motor homes.
The domain could become a ''park over site'' for New Zealand Motor Caravan Association members, and the association has asked to lease the pavilion from the Waitaki District Council.
Yesterday the council's community services committee recommended the building be leased out for $1 a year. The council still has to give final approval, public comment has to be sought and a lease negotiated.
Part of the contract will include making sure the building, which was constructed by the community, is available to community groups.
