Police have named the man who died in a crash near Glenavy, north of Oamaru, on Friday night.
He was 28-year-old Jamie Wheeler, of Glenavy.
The single-vehicle crash occurred on Ikawai Middle Rd about 10.30pm.
Mr Wheeler was the sole occupant and he died at the scene.
An investigation is ongoing.
