Planning is under way for the Healthy Active Living Oamaru lifestyle expo on October 19 at the Waitaki Recreation Centre and nearby Orana Park.
It aims to promote, educate and support the community in health, wellbeing and environmental sustainability.
In addition to highlighting community groups and organisations there will be an eco-component with hands-on learning, spokeswoman Helen Algar said.
The expo will incorporate activities during the three weeks leading up to the event, including workshops, physical activity challenges, demonstrations, presentations and competitions.
