North Otago launched its rugby campaign to retain the Meads Cup with a "meet and greet" function for its 2011 squad on Thursday night.
Players, who have elected to wear more formal attire before and after matches, were presented with North Otago Rugby ties. New captain Ralph Darling (right) was first up to receive his from team sponsor Summit Wool Spinners managing director Harry Ogawa (left) and North Otago Rugby president David Douglas.
Tomorrow, North Otago will play West Coast in the first formal game at the Forsyth Barr Stadium in Dunedin.
