Women duck out

Wives and partners of duck shooters have it all sorted when it comes to enjoying the opening morning of duck-shooting.

With not a gun or a duck in sight, this group managed to have a great time as they shared the Duck Shooter Widows Brunch at Chatto Creek Tavern on Saturday morning.

Organised by tavern owner Lesley Middlemass, the brunch has been held on opening morning for the past eight years.

Duck shooting was usually all about men and it was nice to do something else and have some time out for the women, Mrs Middlemass said.
