A company called Springvale Pure Ltd has been registered in Alexandra, but its directors say that they are only at the "ideas" stage and have no firm proposals yet.
When asked if the company was linked to water bottling or bottled water exports, director Dave Grant said "it's not linked to anything yet".
He said it was "too early" to comment on the company, for which there were "just ideas at the moment".
Springvale Pure Ltd is registered at Scholefield Cockroft Lloyd, in Alexandra, and its directors are Ivan John Cockroft, of Clyde, Mr Grant, of Alexandra, and Il Hwan Ryu, of Christchurch.
Springvale Pure Ltd's shareholders are Pioneer Vineyard Ltd, whose sole director and shareholder is Mr Grant; U-Reka Ltd, whose sole director and shareholder is Mr Ryu; Simon John Robertson Cockroft, of Australia; Ivan Cockroft; and Heather Christine Cockroft, of Clyde.
