Snow creeps down Wanaka hillsides

Wanaka residents awoke to a wintery blast on officially the second day of spring but the sleet and showers gave way to a beautiful sunny morning.

Snow blanketed the surrounding hillsides around the township as residents made their way to work and holiday makers headed up the skifields.
