Police are still seeking the driver of a vehicle that crashed into a residential property in Tarbert St, Alexandra on Sunday night.
The driver and an occupant ran off after the vehicle crashed through a fence at the Ranui Court property and ended up in the front yard of a neighbouring property. No-one was injured.
A police spokesman said police had attempted to pull the vehicle over in Tarbert St just before 9pm. The driver failed to stop and "a brief pursuit was initiated'' but abandoned immediately for safety reasons.
About 9pm police received a report the same car had crashed through two properties in Tarbert St.
