Three intoxicated teenage boys were picked up by Wanaka police from Spencer Mall in Dunmore St at 1.20pm on Saturday and returned to their parents, after a member of the public reported concerns about their condition.
Constable Mike Thomas said yesterday one of the trio - two aged 15 and one aged 16 - was ‘‘quite sick''.
‘‘They said they had got the alcohol from a stranger, which is questionable,'' he said.
They were not charged.
- A 37-year-old Wanaka man received bruises and cuts in an alleged assault at the Red Rock bar just after midnight on Friday.
- Two United States citizens charged with fighting in Pembroke Park, at 7.20pm on Saturday, will appear in the Queenstown District Court today.
