With a creditable list of titles for the year, including winning the New Zealand Community Trust singles, coming second in the New Zealand open fours and third in the New Zealand open singles, as well numerous other regional and national placings, Scott is also the Otago representative and the Otago sports person of the month (April 2008), a New Zealand representative and a member of the Bowls New Zealand talent development squad.
He said his greatest moments were representing New Zealand at the Asia Pacific championships in Malaysia and winning a New Zealand singles title.
Heath Whyte was named the Cromwell sports administrator of the year for rugby, and hockey player Sarah Cook senior sports person of the year.
The guest speaker was chief executive of the Central Otago Lakes Trust, Paul Allison.
