Thirty-two cars lined up in the car park at the Golden Gate Lodge at Cromwell yesterday morning, full to the brim with all kinds of bits and pieces their owners no longer wanted.

It was all part of a fundraising car boot sale venture organised by Emma Carroll, of Cromwell, to help raise funds for the Relay for Life being run next March.

Entrants paid $5 a car and the money they made from the sale of any goods was theirs to keep.

The variety of goods on sale was wide-ranging, from top-of-the-line cameras to the ever-popular cakes and biscuits, with plenty of other interesting pieces to draw in the crowds.

Ms Carroll said it was a great morning and she planned to do it again in the New Year.
