An Alexandra orchardist's claim for more than $500,000 insurance will be considered during a four-day hearing in the High Court at Dunedin.
Michael Bennie, who owns an orchard with his son Peter, put the company, Bennie and Son, into receivership last year.
Mr Bennie said an August date had been set for the hearing, which would focus on an unpaid insurance claim stemming from orchard equipment he bought in 2001.
Mr Bennie said his business would continue to be in receivership until the court hearing.
BDO Spicers was appointed as the receiver in November last year.
In late November, the orchard and a house on the property were put up for auction in a mortgagee sale.
Both failed to sell after the orchard was passed in at $750,000 and the adjacent house and lifestyle block reached just over $300,000.
