Police are continuing their investigation of an alleged rape at Alexandra at the weekend.
Detective Senior Sergeant Colin Blackie, of Alexandra, said no charges had been laid in relation to the allegation.
"We are still working through a number of people we have to interview, and forensic inquiries take a few days," he said.
At 3am on Sunday, police were notified of a complaint of a rape alleged to have occurred at a residential Alexandra address during Saturday evening or Sunday morning.
A 17-year-old female was assisting police with the investigation.
She was being supported by friends and family as well as the Wakatipu Assault Prevention Network.
A 20-year-old Alexandra man had been spoken to by police.
