The Cromwell Golf Club needs a new board chairman after John Olssen resigned.
Mr Olssen said the board needed new blood and new energy to tackle planned large projects.
Mr Olssen, who helped found the board six years ago, said his last five years as chairman were largely positive and he was proud of his achievements.
"We've spent about $550,000 on capital works, including the redevelopment of irrigation. We've restructured the place and brought in food catering and the golf shop to the club itself."
Those operations were now making a contribution to the club, he said. A new chairman will be selected from within the board.
After the club's annual meeting on Tuesday, the board was made up of reinstated president Stew Taylor, newly-elected members Bob Butterfield and John McDonald, elected players representatives Noeline Lister and Snow Turner as well as existing board member Tony Clark.
Club manager Graham Mercer said a chairman would be appointed at the board's next meeting.
Other changes were: Ian Giller (men's captain), Judy McGraw (women's captain), Bob McArthur (deputy men's captain) and Jacqui Rose-Anderson (deputy women's captain).
Former course committee convener Colin Cowie has also resigned and will be replaced later.
