Two cars rolled in a three-vehicle crash involving a barrier near Outram yesterday.
A Fire and Emergency New Zealand spokesman said it was called to the crash in Huntley Rd, Woodside, about 2am.
Crews from Lookout Point and Outram responded.
The crash with the barrier involved three vehicles, including two cars which had rolled, the Fenz spokesman said.
A Hato Hone St John spokesperson said one ambulance and operations manager responded to the crash.
One patient was taken to Dunedin Hospital in a moderate condition, while a further four people declined medical assessment.
The Dunedin City Council was called for traffic management and cleanup.
Emergency services were also called to another crash into a barrier — this time involving a ute on Dunedin’s Southern Motorway (SH1), about 4.10pm on Saturday.
It happened near the off-ramp, and the "entire motorway was affected", the spokesman said.
A police spokeswoman said some lanes were closed until the ute was towed.
There were no serious injuries, she said.
