The Quantum-class vessel, operated by Royal Caribbean International, is the lead ship of its class and, at the time of its delivery in 2014, was the third-largest cruise ship in the world by gross tonnage, weighing in at 168,666 gross tonnes.
The 347.7m-long vessel can accommodate up to 4905 passengers and 1500 crew.
It arrived from Lyttelton yesterday morning and departed to Fiordland last night.
