Global media company CNN has rated Queenstown's Shotover Jet among the best tourism experiences in the world.
In a recently published ''scrap all those other bucket lists'' collection of the top 19 travel experiences in the world, Shotover Jet is the only New Zealand activity to make the list.
The 85kmh ride, according to CNN, is up there with swimming with blue whales, sledding in the Antarctic and renting Richard Branson's personal island.
Shotover Jet general manager Clark Scott said the company was proud to be among the top-rated in the world.
CNN said the fact the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge came along for a ride earlier this year certainly helped raise Shotover Jet's international profile.
