Young residents and visitors to the Wakatipu are in for plenty of fun when they sign up for the 10-day summer holiday programme at the Youth Booth in January.
Queenstown's youth advocacy and support team unveiled its range of activities last week, beginning with a free open house at the Booth in Stanley St on January 13, from 3pm to 6pm.
Air hockey, a pool table, table tennis, X-Box 360, arts and crafts and baking and more are on offer.
Horse riding on the scenic Ben Lomond Trail is set for January 14 from 2pm to 6pm and costs $35.
Adventure continues on January 15, with white-water rafting from 1pm to 7pm for $35.
All abilities will enjoy grabbing airtime at SITE Trampoline, home of the wake rope, foam pit, four trampolines plus tramp skis and tramp boards, on January 16 from 1.30pm to 4pm, for $15.
Lock and load paintball on January 17 from 2pm to 5pm for $35.
Open house is back and admission is free at the Youth Booth on January 20.
The party moves to the beach of Queenstown Bay for slacklining, paddleboarding, music and food on January 21 from noon to 4pm for $5.
A chance to learn and practise rock-climbing skills is scheduled for both January 22 and 23 from 2pm to 5.30pm for $35.
After all the action and adrenaline, the summer programme concludes with a ''film and feed'' at the Youth Booth from 2pm to 6pm for $10.
Youth workers Jacqui Moir, Fi Sawers and Rhys Smith encouraged young people to register, with a form completed by a parent or guardian, and pay as soon as possible to secure their booking, as spaces were limited for some activities.
