Jesse Ryder has made a wonderful start to his Otago career with a second hundred in just his second first-class game for the province.

His latest century was scored today in Otago's Plunket Shield match with Canterbury in Rangiora.

A short time ago he was dismissed for 120.

Michael Bracewell has also started the summer strongly.

He scored a hundred in the season-opening game against Wellington last month and has backed up with another 100 today.

Otago was 317 for four after 79 overs in reply to Canterbury's first innings total of 243.
