The Otago secondary schools cross-country championships were held at Kaikorai Valley College in Dunedin yesterday, and Otago Daily Times photographer Peter McIntosh was there to capture the action. About 120 runners took part in this year’s event, including runners from Southland schools, due to their championships being cancelled.
Catherine Lund (Otago Girls’) won the girls under-19 race, covering the 4km track in 16min 13.4sec, and Matthew Bolter (Otago Boys’) won the boys under-19 race, finishing the 6km event in 24min 29.8sec.
Other winners were Dan Kelleher, Ruie Hyslop, Lisa Lokman, Honor Garden, Lola Saunders and Henry Hodgson.
