The middle and northern end of the Dunedin Railway Station is covered with scrim, as restoration work continues on the station behind the covering. Imagery of the station was printed on the scrim and remaining sections of the covering are expected to be in place this week. Wind hindered its installation last week.
Naylor Love is contracted to lead the station restoration project, which includes extensive repairs to the roof of the 115-year-old building, as well as repairs to windows, exterior walls and ornate fixtures. The $6.4 million refurbishment is due to be finished in 2023.
