Several ice related crashes

At 12.30pm on Dalefield Rd, a 31-year-old Queenstown driver lost control of a vehicle because of ice.

The vehicle hit a bank but the driver was unharmed.

• At 7pm on Monday, two French nationals stole $43 worth of meat and cheese from Fresh Choice. The pair are living in Queenstown and working on a Cromwell vineyard and said they were on poor wages. They will appear in the Queenstown District Court on July 2 charged with theft.

• At 5.15am on Tuesday, a man reported his jacket stolen from inside the Night 'n Day store. The storekeeper said the man put his jacket down and someone else, probably his friend, came back in to retrieve it.

Queenstown police said at that stage the incident was being treated as theft.

• Several ice-related crashes were attended by police during the weekend.
