At 12.05am Monday, a Queenstown man was arrested and charged with driving while disqualified. The man's car was subsequently impounded for 28 days and he is due to appear in court on June 18.
• Queenstown police would like to hear from anyone with information about windows being smashed in Shotover St at the weekend. Senior Constable Chris Blackford said windows were smashed at 66 and 74 Shotover St early on Sunday.
• A 41-year-old Queenstown tradesman has been arrested and charged with fraud totalling $3500. The man will appear in the Queenstown District court on June 18 on two charges of fraud while in a special relationship.
• Queenstown police are asking drivers to adjust to the winter conditions as colder weather approaches.
Sergeant Keith Newell said cars were slipping on roads already, especially at Arthurs Point and Malaghans Rd.
With bad weather ahead, he advised people to be aware of the conditions and drive accordingly.
