When Foxcroft (13) was stumped by some excellent work from Mitch Renwick, Bracewell responded with some belligerent batting.
He helped plunder 17 off an over from Nathan Smith to get the required run rate back within range.
He shared in a damaging 62-run stand with Clarkson.
But Clarkson finally mistimed a shot and was caught for 64, and Bracewell followed shortly after.
He offered up an easy return catch to leg-spinner Michael Rippon for 35.
His departure effectively signalled the end of the game.
Rippon took three for 43, while Matt Bacon removed both openers and his return of three for 35 represented an excellent day.
But the win was set up by Broom and Kitchen played an important role as well.
He cracked a reverse sweep for six early in his innings and just timed the ball superbly well throughout his stint at the crease.
Broom took longer to get established but once he got his feet moving, the boundaries started flowing from the other end as well.
The 50-run partnership came up from jus 32 balls and really changed the trajecto of the innings.
In the other games, Wellington beat Northern Districts by 39 runs after posting 269 at the Basin Reserve.
Former Otag player Jimmy Neesham top-scored with 8 from 67 balls, while Hamish Bennett too four for 34 to help dismiss the visitors for 230.
At Eden Park, Auckland held on to win b three runs. Craig Cachopa scored 106 as the home side reached 270 for five.
Canterbury's Chad Bowes got his side i the chase with 96 from 106. But the visitor were restricted to 267 for seven.
