Grants Braes' initiative in starting the first Beach Football tournament in Otago was rewarded with perfect weather - after a high tide start that had 2m waves bombing the pitch.
But centreback K. Canute sorted things out - and a superb day eventuated, with skills and excitement plus a tasty BBQ, and the odd bottle of fizz.
