Two people were found guilty tonight of killing convicted paedophile Glen Stinson.
A High Court jury in Palmerston found Aubrey Harrison guilty of Stinson's murder, while a woman, who has name suppression, was found guilty of manslaughter.
Stinson, 57, was found beaten to death on a rural road near Foxton in Manawatu in July last year.
The Crown alleged the accused pair sought revenge on Stinson for an indecent assault on a 10-year-old girl.
He was out on bail at the time of his death in Foxton. He was waiting to be tried for raping a girl under the age of 12 and had served prison time for offences on girls dating back to 1967.
Bruce Tamatea, 46, who is awaiting sentence for the killing, told the trial the pair were not involved in the fatal bashing.
Tamatea pleaded guilty in May to Stinson's murder.
