A Dunedin teenager has been remanded in custody after being charged with the indecent assault of a woman and two counts of assault with intent to injure.
Hamish Te Raki (19) appeared in the Dunedin District Court yesterday, where his bail application was declined.
He was held in police custody on Sunday following the early morning incident.
A police spokeswoman said the incident which led to the charges took place just before 3am on Sunday.
It involved an altercation between Te Raki and the trio.
It was alleged Te Raki groped the female victim before assaulting a male and a female acquaintance of hers.
He is due to appear in court again on July 11.
