Wellington, April 26 NZPA - A 21-year-old Palmerston North soldier is dead after his motorcycle and a car collided just outside the Linton military camp near Palmerston North today.
The motorbike travelling along Camp Road and a car coming out of Bell Rd crashed at the intersection about 9.45am, central districts communications manager Kim Perks told NZPA.
"The motorcycle rider is from Linton and the driver of the car - a 20-year-old woman is being treated for shock at the Army Camp Hospital."
Both the man and the woman were military personnel, Ms Perks said.
Police inquiries were continuing.
