A 17-year-old youth charged with murder has won another extension to a court order preventing his name being published.
The teen was charged with the stabbing murder of Warren Rosillo, 18, at a party in Papakura, south Auckland on July 29.
In his first appearance in the Manukau District Court earlier this month he was refused name suppression but that was appealed by his lawyer Barry Hart.
In the High Court at Auckland today Justice Peter Woodhouse extended the order suppressing the accused teenager's name until September 15. He suppressed all details of today's hearing.
Mr Rosillo died in Greenhill Crescent, Pakuranga, in spite of desperate attempts by other partygoers to keep him alive until paramedics arrived.
The accused youth was arrested the following day and initially charged with assault and possession of a weapon before the murder charge was laid.
Police allege Mr Rosillo was stabbed after an argument about a girl.
