Jury resumes deliberations in teen kidnap, sex case

An Auckland jury will resume deliberations today into the case of two men accused of taking captive a 15-year-old girl and threatening to post on the internet images of her being sexually violated.

Wei Feng, 20, and another man, 22, whose name is suppressed, have pleaded not guilty in the High Court at Auckland to kidnap and blackmail. The 22-year-old is also accused of sexually violating the girl.

The jury began its deliberations yesterday afternoon.

The Crown alleged that Feng had in September 2008 lured the girl to his co-accused's house in the Auckland suburb of Lynfield, on the pretence of taking her to lunch.

He then left and the co-accused threatened to rape her unless she either posed naked for photographs or performed oral sex on him.

She was scared and performed oral sex which the man filmed on his cellphone.

The man later threatened to post the footage on the internet.

The defence claimed the girl went to the house willingly, was never detained and was not sexually violated.
