More than 200 riders braved wet conditions to take part in the 29th run. "It's such a fantastic turnout, with this rain. I've done every one and this is only the second time we've had rain," Ms Storey said.
The run started at the Carey's Bay Historic Hotel at 1.30pm, with the riders then assembling outside the University of Otago's School of Dentistry for the toy run into the Octagon.
The toys will be distributed to a range of charities by the Dunedin North Lions Club. Bronz also donated funds from its Vincent Country Rally in February, giving $4500 to the Muscular Dystrophy Association of New Zealand southern branch and $3500 to the Otago Rescue Helicopter Trust.
